Following the exhibition held on 4th & 5th of September 2009, we will examine the feedback we receive from the community and from stakeholders. We will then review our proposals with a view to preparing an outline planning application for submission to Lewes District Council in the near future.
An outline planning application will allow the Council to make a decision on the general principles of the redevelopment of the site. If the Council agrees with what we are proposing we will then agree final details of the scheme.
Should our proposals be approved, building could start on-site in mid-2010 with the first homes available to occupy by 2011.
These proposals will provide new jobs and quality homes for local people. We believe that our plans are right for this site and will provide important investment in Newhaven. We want to continue to work with the community and its representatives on the development of our plans.
